I have almost completed the restoration of a 1967 Mk3 FD6333. I have run into a problem where the soft top hood frame fouls the seat backs when it has been lowered. it actually wants to poke a hole in my brand new upholstery... which is upsetting to say the least. The seats can slide forward of course, but I am a reasonably tall chap and its not comfortable to drive like that.
The problem is the same for both sides. I am fairly sure that the seats are the standard issue with the car and that the hood frame is correct... but for the life of me I cannot see why the frame should fit as it does. Anybody seen this before?[/b]
